Another great Hookah in the Hills is scheduled and we have some familiar faces and some new ones to welcome. Confirmed so far, other than the obvious 2 nights - 2 sets each night of ekoostik hookah, are Bobby Lee Rogers & The Codetalkers, Mike Perkins, Joe Prichard Band, Chicago Afrobeat Project, Michael Jay’s Mystic Rebel (Bob Marley Tribute), legendary acid jazz guitarist Melvin Sparks, The Boogie Hustlers, Poogie Bell Band, late night sets by Papadosio and by The Polka Floyd Show. As always we are trying to improve every show to make it better than the last, and this year will no exception we have added second stage that will alternate sets with the main stage to supply continuous music from late morning until…..well early morning, Ryan McGuire will be spinning fire poi and coordinating a whole fire show during the set breaks each night for ekoostik hookah as well as doing a poi workshop. As always there will be food & firewood for sale, assorted craft vendors, a large drum circle next to the bonfire each night, and don’t forget the kids parade Saturday afternoon beginning and ending in the kids area. We will also have a tent large enough to cover the entire crowd in front of the stage in case there is any incliment weather, but remember this is a rain or shine festival. Hookah’s Fans for Food will also be there with a new cause. Mmmmm, did we miss anything? Probably did, you’ll just have to come on out to see what other surprises are in store for you all. So travel safely and we’ll see you starting at Noon on Friday, April 4, 2008 to kick off the 2008 festival season!!!
We were there. Got there Thurs. Rained all Thurs. and Fri. and it was a mud bath. So ..... what's new...??
Us Hookah fans are used
to the foul weather. I've got to say, the bands
were all very good and it was a good start to the
season.
